Good questions
Codeck gathers your running and recent Codex and Claude Code tasks into one keyboard-first switcher. Open the deck, choose a task, and jump straight back to the right conversation.
Input Monitoring is optional and enables the Right Command + Right Option gesture. Codeck listens for modifier-key changes, not typed text. You can use the menu bar or Option + Command + K without it. Optional Quick Task auto-send uses Accessibility; voice input uses the microphone and on-device speech recognition. Screen Recording is not required.
Basic Claude task discovery does not change your settings. Enhanced live status is an optional, clearly explained integration that you can enable, disable, and remove from Codeck Settings.
Codeck does not upload task titles, prompts, project paths, or file contents to a Codeck server. Quick Tasks go to the provider you choose. The app contacts the Codeck license service to verify your license and checks for signed updates. Optional voice models download separately; recorded audio is processed on your Mac. There are no in-app behavioral analytics.
No. Codeck is a one-time $5 USD purchase, plus applicable tax. Your license covers two active Mac installations and all future Codeck updates. There is no recurring fee or separate Codeck account. Future features and perpetual support are not guaranteed.
After payment, download Codeck and copy the license key from your receipt into the app. First activation requires internet. Codeck verifies your license quietly when online and works for up to 30 days after a successful verification. Deactivate an old installation in Settings to move your license; contact support if that Mac is unavailable.
We do not offer voluntary refunds. Please check compatibility and the demo before purchasing. Mandatory consumer rights still apply, and Stripe may issue a refund under its merchant-of-record policies. Installation and license support are available.
The planned release targets macOS 14 Sonoma or newer on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Final platform verification is in progress. The Codex app, Claude Desktop with local Claude Code sessions, or both should already be installed for Codeck to find their tasks. Terminal-only Claude Code sessions are not supported in Codeck 1.0.
No. Codeck is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI or Anthropic.
